Robert Kowal , "el jefe" Robert has been with Sunset since its inception and became a full partner in 2001. John and Robert are co-founders and directors for the San Francisco Funk Festival. Robert's background as a journalist, graphic designer, PR professional, and touring DJ gives him an eclectic view on music. He is the editor of the Bay Area "WhatDaFunk Newsletter" and has worked as a freelance journalist for Citysearch, Bass Player Magazine, Jambase, and Hittin the Note.
